The extCZIP®-PRO bay controllers are the latest generation of devices within the CZIP® system. They are designed to perform protection, substation automation, control, measurement, recording, and supervision functions for medium-voltage switchgear bays in power distribution networks.

The extCZIP®-PRO series is characterized by high flexibility in the selection of input/output modules and communication ports.

  • 512 MB internal memory for disturbance recorder samples, event logs, and energy measurements
  • Time synchronization via Ethernet using SNTP protocol
  • Independent communication interfaces: USB, 2 × RS-485, 10/100 BASE-TX Ethernet (optional fiber port and CAN-BUS/RS-485)
  • Supported communication protocols: DNP 3.0, IEC 60870-5-103 and 104, IEC 61850, Modbus® ASCII / RTU (optional PPM2 protocol via CAN-BUS/RS-485)
  • 2-bit status monitoring of all switching devices
  • CZIP-Set configuration software available on request.
